Dear Friends,
How the world has changed in the few weeks since we last connected. I hope you and your loved ones are healthy and safe as we all navigate this uncertain terrain. As always, we are mindful of the countless contributions of our federal workforce as every agency plays its part to meet the new challenges we face.
At this time, in accordance with federal and local restrictions, GAI has cancelled all in-person programming through at least May 8. Our office remains closed, and our staff will be working remotely until the beginning of May. We will continue to evaluate our operations as the situation develops. If you were registered for a class in this timeframe, you should have heard from us with instructions for transferring or cancelling. Please reach out if you have questions or need assistance. The best way to reach us right now is via email at gai@georgetown.edu. You may also contact me directly any time at kristin.nicholson@georgetown.edu.
Despite the massive disruption throughout the country, Congress has been engaged in an uncommon flurry of legislating. In our latest newsletter, Senior Fellow Matt Glassman writes about some larger lessons to be learned from the recent action on Capitol Hill.
We cannot wait to see you again in the classroom. Until then, please take care and let us know if there is anything we can help with.
