Congressional Update



This class is intended to explain and analyze the major events that have occurred in the First Session of a Congress, and examine what is likely to occur as Congress finalizes work in the Second Session and prepares for elections in November.

Specific topics may include:

  • An assessment of the significant legislative accomplishments of the First Session
  • A progress report on the membership, leadership, and committee structure
  • A forecast of the anticipated legislative agenda for the Second Session
  • An explanation and analysis of issues concerning the federal budget

August 5, 2020 ***Online Instruction*** (1 pm – 4 pm EST)

Tuition: $150

Note: Please be advised that the August 5 session will be conducted in an online format only. For your general awareness, the class will take place entirely online with live virtual instruction by GAI faculty. We will provide additional details to all enrolled participants as we get a little closer to the start date of the class, however, please expect the live online portions to run roughly from 1pm – 4pm EST with a short break between the live sessions.
