GAI Welcomes New Senior Fellows



aboutlogoWe are excited to announce the addition of two new Senior Fellows to the staff at GAI. Our summer was book-ended by the arrival of Mark Harkins in July and Joshua Huder in September, two legislative experts who exemplify the GAI mission and are also talented congressional educators. Each brings a unique background and will add his exceptional expertise to leading courses at GAI.

Mark Harkins: Mark has been a guest lecturer with GAI dating back to 2001. Prior to joining GAI, Mark was a government relations professional for more than five years where he focused on the representation of corporate, nonprofit and government clients before Congress and the Executive Branch. He has extensive experience with the federal appropriations and budgeting process, as well as issues handled by the Financial Services, Science, Ways and Means, and Homeland Security Committees. Joshua Huder: Prior to joining GAI, Josh was an American Political Science Association Congressional Fellow where he worked on legislative procedure, financial services, voting rights, campaign finance, trade, small business, and other issues. He is currently completing his Ph.D in American Politics at the University of Florida. He holds a Master’s degree from the University of Florida and a BA from Rutgers. (read full bio)
